Spot them !

Soon I will see the Lime Butterfly again in my garden.  See if you can spot the 'babies' ....

A caterpillar and a pupa.... Not so clear ? ...See next picture !

The caterpillar is more distinct in the second picture  ... ! It has really eaten a lot, and here it seemed a bit sluggish.

The next day we were surprised to see that the caterpillar had changed into a pupa as well.....  And the first pupa has turned a darker color as well....

Now these are what I found on my jackfruit tree....
I have seen them before, but often they dropped after a couple of  weeks.   My jackfruit tree was just not mature  to bear fruits yet, I guess.  This time I counted 4 of these tiny fruits,  maybe I will be lucky this time - with at least even one fruit ? What are the odds...?

The two Rangoon Creepers seem happy  ..... they have been  blooming like nobody's business !  I just cannot resist taking a picture ..... !

I took this  photo just  for Onenezz at http://onenezz.blogspot.com. ..... ! My pink hibiscus has started blooming again daily ..... so is the red.....! Both of them certainly look good together ..... lolz !

Last for this blog today - the leaves of the  Leucophyllum  ( see posts dated Aug, 29, 2010 and Jan 6, 2011) are  turning light green (earlier they were more silver grey) from standing in the porch !  Perhaps  this is due to the plant  not getting as much sun as it used to under direct sunlight.  And the Barometer Bush (other name for the Leucophyllum) was  'Spot On' ! It bloomed today and it did rained !  There had been no rain for some days now !

Finally the Red-White Hippeastrum Blooms !

Ready ...
It has been sometime since this bulb plant blooms (see post dated : 29th August 2010)  .. Perhaps almost a year since  I last saw them bloom!   They  certainly take their own sweet time but certainly worth the wait  ....!

Get set....

and  Go.....!

The second bud is about to open...

Now we see it ..!
And we have two  !

The other two buds  will open in another couple of days, I guess.....

When will the Pomegranate Ripen ?

Pomegranates are so sweet and juicy ... so I am waiting very much in anticipation to taste these  first fruits from the garden ! I counted 17 fruits .... some  have grown to a nice size, some seemed a little stunted.  From the light green color, now these fruits have turned slightly yellowish with mottled pink, red and brown patches. They look so inviting.....!

Not too sure how to tell when the fruits will be ripe  enough for picking, I checked with my very good friend who has a great deal of experience with plants and gardening. The answer  came back --- from the time the fruit appears  until it matures, it takes roughly at least 5 months  ! Oh dear,  what a long wait ! The first fruit had appeared around early Jan ... so that means another 2 months  more to wait  !  Well time passes fast these days  if we do not think too much about it and if I can wait for the passion fruits to drop, I certainly can wait for these pomegranates as well.....!

They certainly look good, don't they ? Each morning when I look at them, I cannot help but feel amazed at what nature can produce....!
