Actually this plant is my first attempt at growing potted plants many years ago. So it has become a member of the family since then. I was fascinated by how cute the plant is with the white lines and edges running along the leaf blades. I am a sucker for variegated plant, as I said before. This plant is actually a tuberous plant, and it rots pretty fast if fed with too much water or is grown in areas where water tends to collect. So the safest method to grow it is in well drained soil in pots or as hanging pots. So see how graceful the plant is when planted as a hanging plant.
Now this plant will eventually produce tiny white flowers but I do not think one can propagate this plant through the seeds. To propagate the plant, it is easier to dig out the whole plant. The roots are shallow, so this is easy. Just gently separate some of the tubers and plant as small bunches in different spots on the ground, or pots which ever is preferred. The tubers will multiply fast enough, just go easy with the water, that is all. Let the plant dry in between watering and it should do very well. If the side leafs start to yellow or brown, just remove them as what one would do. But when that happens probably it is being over watered or too dry so watch out.
