Nepenthes - Pitcher Plants

Amazing plants ... pitcher plants or monkey cups ! The picture on the left was captured when we went hiking recently. It must still be a small plant. as the pitchers are actually shorter than my last finger.  Sorry - as part of the conservative efforts, my lips are sealed as to their location.!  Before we proceed further, do read an article at this link first -  http://www.petpitcher.com/resources/carnivorous-plants-in-malaysia : -) . Now if you have done that, do go back for a look at the picture gallery of these unusual plants. Beautiful aren't they?  At Cameron Highlands, and  even the local nurseries  are selling the hybrid pitcher plants adapted for  home cultivation.  Thinking of it, it is wonderful people are able to do that, otherwise those growing in the wild would go extinct if their habitats are destroyed from human activities.  These plants are so unique looking when seen in the wild, hanging from their vines amongst the forest trees.
